My Wishin' Fishin' Time

Oh how I remember
times when I was young
Fishin' pole with line and hook
over my shoulder hung

Walked for many miles
to reach my fishin' hole
Happiness filled and warmed my heart
and smiles filled my soul

Wish that I could live again
Those moments in the sun
Recapture youthful memories
of all the things I've done

The Old Wishing Well

The wet and cool clear water
magnifies the stones below
The sun directs the rays of light
to make it sparkle so

Amid the pebble clusters
lay coins both old and new
Each one has a story
that it could tell to you

The well responds to wishes
that produce a shedding tear
But listens not a moment
to a wish that's not sincere

So take a coin and drop it
and then your story tell
If love and truth are present
A granted wish from the well

This vision that attracts me
the stories it could tell
Are waiting very patiently
At the Old-Old Wishing Well
