Our Day at the Fair

 

Oh what fun we had that day
a real surprise for me
A Fair had come a visiting
and filled us all with glee

We got there very early
on the first day of the fair
to look at rides and other things
as the music we did share

We stopped for cotton candy
it must be filled with air
Cause when I took a bite of it
there was really nothing there

  We rode upon the Ferris Wheel
Oh what a sight to see
I think we went a mile high
Now that's the place to be

Oh My goodness - over there
a big old Merry-G0-Round
with animals to ride upon
and a fabulous music sound

  We did so many, many things
that filled our hearts with cheer
I wish you could have joined me
Perhaps you can - next year

I looked out of the window
The day that it did rain
And saw a little something
A running down the lane

It was a little bunny
With ears so big and round
I couldn't keep from laughing
Cause they dragged upon the ground

He turned and looked around him
I laughed myself to tears
You couldn't see the bunny
Because of his big ears

I wish you could have seen it
It really was a sight
And truly I still see him
Every time I dream at night

I tried to show my Mommy
And show my Daddy too
But when they reached the window
He'd hopped right out of view

But I will always see him
Cause in my mind he'll stay
That Little, Little bunny
Who hopped along my way

Holidays are coming
Can't wait for them to arrive
Busy - Busy - Busy
Don't know how I'll survive

Know what makes them special
Know Why my heart beats fast
Family getting together
And I Want it to forever last

Every moment - every second
Love is always there
NO matter how we spend it
We share and share and share

The children awed - bewildered
with Holiday gifts and such
Wondering why the family
Is giving them so much

The joy is in the giving
watching smiles grow and grow
The little ones gleeful laughing
at such a wonderous show

Oh how fast the time goes
We wish it could last and last
But in our hearts forever
Are the thoughts of the Holiday past
